Attention: If you will be working as a volunteer at one of our construction sites, you will need to fill out and sign the two page application form and bring it with you. Click Here for the Form (PDF). Also, Minors who are volunteering to work at a job site must complete a "Release and Waiver of Liability for Minors" form and have it signed by parent or guardian. Work on House #7 is just about complete. Please join us for the dedication of the Malone Family Home to be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 6:00 pm. The location is 1981 SE Maple Drive, in Arcadia. For a Flyer including directions, Click Here. The ground breaking ceremony has taken place for House #8 and we will soon be busy at work as construction gets underway. We do have a wish list of items that are needed. Perhaps you can help. Please call us at 863-494-4118 if you would like to donate. Our AmeriCorp VISTA volunteers, Elba Sacris and Lisa Herren will be leaving us in August. We will be having a farewell party for them at Beef O'Bradys on August 17th at 6:30pm. Thank you both for your year of dedicated service and hard work with us here in Arcadia. On Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 8:30am, we will be holding our "Fun Walk" at Desoto Park. Everyone is invited, and proceeds will go to help the Thompson Family Home. There will be Food, T-Shirts, and fun for everyone! |
